I like to have a couple of social accounts to conveniently interact and communicate with my friends and clients. Along with Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp, Instagram has also become one of my favourite social networks which I conveniently use to communicate with a large number of people.Case in point, you can add new accounts to Instagram and switch between the multiple accounts on your iPhone and Android device conveniently.

So, if you have created an Instagram account to communicate with your close friends, you can add it to the Instagram app on your device to switch between the accounts without having to log out of the account and log back in. Read on to learn how to do this with no stress at all.

How to Add Another Instagram Account on iPhone and Android

Step #1. Open the Instagram on your iOS or Android device.

Step #2. Next, tap on the profile tab at the bottom right corner of the screen.2 6

Step #3. Now, you need to tap on the Settings icon.

Note – If you use an Android device, tap on three dots placed vertically in the top right corner of the screen.

Step #4. Next Up, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the screen and then tap on “Add Account.”

Step #5. Now, enter the username and the password of the account you wish to add.3 7

If you want to further add more accounts to the Instagram app, you can simply follow the steps above over again.

Step #1. Launch the Instagram app on your iOS or Android device.

Step #2. Next, tap on the profile button at the bottom of the screen to go to your profile page.4 6

  1. Seriously… Thank you. I have tried MULTIPLE times with a litany of other apps to try to manage two accounts… this works…. at this point, I’m fine with that.

  2. Thanks for sharing! Not really a bug but more a security feature, in some Android devices there will be “… error parsing…” message upon installing the Instwogram apk. The workaround is to upload the apk into your Google Drive, and install it from there. Works for me.

  3. Thanks for this eye-opening article. Although, I don’t know why anyone would want to have more than one Instagram account. The App consumes so much data. But, then, for those who want to run multiple Instagram accounts on the same mobile device, they’ll need to bookmark this article. Nice writeup.
