HP anticipates CES 2024 announcing two Chromebooks and a Chromebox

Acer was not the only company that anticipated CES 2018 and has already announced interesting products. HP also unveiled several new deices last night (6), including two Chromebooks and a Chromebox, a desktop computer equipped with Google’s online operating system. Although it was presented before the event, it is very likely that the three gadgets will be displayed at the fair.

Dubbed Chromebox G2, the computer is the direct evolution of the first Chromebox released by the manufacturer in 2014. It will feature three different processor options (Intel Core i5-7300U, Core i7-8650U, or Celeron 3865U), up to 16GB of RAM and a maximum of 64GB of internal storage. Extremely compact (15cm x 15cm x 4cm), the model is expected to hit the market in April, but HP has not yet revealed how much it will cost.

Already in the segment of Chromebooks, HP decided to launch a model aimed at productivity and another dedicated to student use. The first gadget (christened the Chromebook 14 G5 ) has powerful specifications – 14-inch screen, Intel Celeron N3450 or N3350, up to 8 GB of RAM and a maximum of 64 GB of internal storage. As with the Acer Chromebook 11, the device has USB 3.1 type C ports, making it much easier to connect to more modern smartphones.

The Chromebook 11 G6 Education Edition has exactly the same hardware, but is much smaller (11 inches) and has a more robust body, capable of withstanding falls of up to 0.7 meters in pure concrete without suffering damage. In addition, its keyboard is resistant to splashing water and its striking color is designed precisely to draw attention of younger users.
