HTC Desire 12 is a mid-range smartphone from smartphone giant – HTC. The unannounced smartphone has seen some of its key technical features leaked. And no better way to reveal the smartphone’s specs other than its retail box. Despite that, the smartphone is expected to be launched in the month of March this year. One of the key features of the smartphone is its internal storage of 32 GB that has the capacity to expand to a massive 2 TB. Design & Display
With an aluminium alloy body material, the smartphone sports a single camera at the top bezel and another single camera at the rear. In the top bezel, light sensor and earpiece are fellow occupants with the front camera while the bottom bezel simply houses the htc logo. At the back, the single camera is accompanied by a LED flash and htc logo. Dedicated keys present on the smartphone are the volume keys and the power button.

The smartphone’s display has a big 5.5-inches display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. This HD+ display has a pixel density of 293 PPI and uses the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. In addition to the 2.5D curved glass present on the display surface, Blue Light filter is also another tangible display feature. It is expected to have an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Camera
The rear camera of the smartphone has a 12 megapixel shooter that’s supported by a LED flash for brightening purposes. The front camera on the other hand has a 5 MP shooter for taking selfies. Additional features of the smartphone are auto focus, phase detection, geo tagging, HDR, panorama, touch focus, ISO and face detection.
CPU, OS & Storage
Under the hood, HTC desire 12 operates on MediaTek chipset. The chipset envelops an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU that has eight cores. The processor utilizes the 28 nm process technology and it’s of the 64-bit architecture. Graphics production is handled by an ARM Mali GPU. The software running on the smartphone is the latest Android Oreo OS. The RAM has a 3 GB capacity that handles sleek multitasking. The internal storage has 32 GB which can be extended to 2 terabytes with the use of a memory card.
Battery
Htc desire 12 uses a non-removable Li-Ion 2,730 mAh battery as its power source. It charges very fast as a result of the Quick Charging technology present. It can give up to 286 hours on standby.
