HTC has added to its A series with the HTC One A9s. The HTC One A9s has been announced at the IFA 2016 event in Berlin and it comes in different color variants.
The HTC One A9s is a mid-range smartphone with modest specs and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Prior to its announcement at the IFA event, the HTC One A9s was expected to be an upgrade to the HTC One A9, but the HTC One A9s has eventually turned out to be downgraded version of it.

HTC One A9s Specifications
Display & Design
The HTC One A9s has a 5-inch HD display with a pixel resolution of 1280 * 720. The display uses Super LCD panels and is protected with Corning Gorilla Grass screen protector.
The device features a fingerprint sensor in its physical home button. It weighs about 150 grams and is about 8mm thick due to the assortment of features packed inside it.
Memory & Performance
A MediaTek Helio P10 processor with eight cores and an upper speed limit of 2GHz powers the HTC One A9s under the hood. This is paired with a Mali T860 MP2 GPU with a speed of 0.7GHz to make sure that the device does not suffer from performance glitches.
The HTC One A9s comes in two RAM/ROM variants; the lower variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and the higher variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal storage in both variants can be further expanded with a micro SD card up to a capacity of 2 TeraBytes.
Connectivity & Battery
The HTC One A9s draws running power from a 2,300mAh battery which can last for up to 12 hours from full charge.
The device supports 4G LTE network connectivity which gives users faster upload and download speeds in internet usage. It uses Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n technology which uses 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for super-fast wireless connectivity.
It includes support for Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and location determination is more accurate with the HTC One A9s which uses both GPS and GLONASS navigation technology. The device is also has support for NFC which allows fast close-range communication between smart devices.
Camera
The HTC One A9s sports a 13MP camera at the rear which uses a BSI sensor and is accompanied by a LED flash. Its 5MP front camera is capable of recording videos at 1080 pixel resolution.
Software and Hardware
The HTC One A9s runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the box with HTC’s Sense UI layered on top.
On the hardware side, the HTC One A9s has two noise-cancelling microphones which use the HTC BoomSound technology. With these, you’re assured of excellent sound quality free from external and internal noise waves.

The HTC One A9s comes in Gey and Black colours and is now available in the U.K. at a recommended retail price (RRP) of £299.99 on Expansys, Clove, or Carphone Warehouse, although you can get it unlocked from Amazon for £278.46.
If you don’t like Grey and Black, you can wait till November 28 to get the Blue Hue version of the HTC One A9s from Carphone Warehouse.
