Huawei was recently revealed to be the largest smartphone brand in the world in April, overtaking Samsung. It was also the world’s largest smartphone brand in the whole of Q2 2020 as well. However, as a result of the extension of the US ban and the end of the company’s relationship with TSMC, there is so much uncertainty surrounding the future of Huawei. Despite all of these circumstances, the company is expected to launch the Mate 40 series, and very soon. According to a new report from China, Huawei is expected to face a delay in the launch of the series and it will launch four devices in the series.

Previous reports suggested that Huawei will launch the Huawei Mate 40 series in early October on the Chinese National Day. It was also revealed that Huawei plans to announce the Mate Watch with HarmonyOS when it launches the series.

However, aa new report by Chinese media has suggested that the company will delay the launch of the Mate 40 series to late October. The report also reveals that the series has four devices which are listed below.

  • HUAWEI Mate40
  • HUAWEI Mate40 Pro
  • HUAWEI Mate40 Pro+ (Plus)
  • PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate40 RS

Chinese media claims this information was gotten directly from supply chain partners and this means there is a high chance of it being true.

Huawei isn’t the only company delaying the launch of its latest flagships as there have been reports that Apple plans to do the same with the iPhone 12 series. We have also seen Google delay the launch of the Google Pixel 4a which we expect to be launched later today.
