iLA Silk launched with Android 8.0 Oreo – Review, Specs and Price

Chinese OEM, iLA just launched the iLA Silk smartphone yesterday with Google’s latest operating system. The company is known for making clones of other smartphones, and the iLA Silk looks exactly like the HiSense H11.

The iPhone X Clone they did didn’t live up to its reputation, lets see if the iLA Silk will do this time around. Not only does it run on Android 8.0 Oreo, it packs 64GB Storage and 4GB RAM as well. Without further ado, meet the iLA Silk.

Design

iLA Silk

The body doesn’t look cheap but it sure is, the iLA Silk was made from Plastic unlike the H11. But the company exquisitely designed it to reflect light beautifully as well. The dual rear camera are horizontal at the top left corner, while the LED flash sits by the side.

The fingerprint scanner is under the LED flash, while the iLA logo follows suit. Turning over to the sides, it measures 7.9mm slim which is impressive and weighs just 165g. In terms of coloring, it’s available in Blue, Black and Gold colors.

Display

iLA Silk

The Silk is bezel-less and dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio just like the H11. No narrow bezels in sight, with extremely tiny top and bottom bezels. The bottom bezel is vacant, while the top houses the usual features. The screen stretches up to 75% screen to body ratio and perfect in landscape mode.

Focusing on the screen now, the 5.7-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is pretty impressive. Boasting of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 403 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen has GFF full lamination technology, as a 2.5D curved glass protects it all.

Hardware and Software

Working tirelessly underneath, is the Snapdragon 430 chip from Qualcomm. It has a 64-bit CPU architecture and 8-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor reaches a clock speed of 1.4GHz and a 28nm process technology for fast performance. Handling graphics is the Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics processor.

For multitasking, 4GB of RAM space is available to process all apps with 800 MHz memory speed. In terms of storage space, 64GB is available to store all files while you can upgrade further up to 128GB with a memory card. The iLA Silk runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with modified user interface.

Camera

At the rear, the dual 13MP + 2MP rear shooters boasts of f/2.0 aperture that captures 4K resolution images. In addition, the dual camera comes with a LED flash and other features. With the iLA Silk you can take photographs with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. Take selfies with the 16MP selfie camera that has a 5P Lens for cute selfies.

Battery

Powering the iLA Silk is a 3000mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

  1. Momentarily, I almost confuse this with Hi-sense H11. The colour looks quite identical. Whoever puts his money on this will not regret it. The device sure packs some punch ?. Nice one.
