The Tecno Camon C7 is widely regarded as the younger brother of the Tecno Camon C9, Tecno Mobile’s best device so far in 2016. The Infinix Hot S on the other hand, is the first of its kind and a device Infinix Mobility proudly refers to as the lifestyle phone. In this article, we put the Infinix Hot S and the Tecno Camon C7 side by side to fish out their differences and similarities.

Display & Design
The Infinix Hot S is undoubtedly designed better than the Tecno Camon C7. It is manufactured with metal compared to the Camon C7 which is made with plastic, and has a premium feel to it. While the Camon C7 sports a curved back design, the Hot S is flat and square in shape with rounded edges.
The Infinix Hot S with a 5.2-inch display is slightly larger than the Camon C7 which has a 5.0-inch display. The Hot S’ display boasts of better picture and color quality with a Full HD (1920 * 1080 pixels) resolution, as opposed to the HD (1280 * 720 pixels) resolution of the display on the Camon C7.
Memory & Performance
The Infinix Hot S and the Tecno Camon C7 are powered by MediaTek processors with speeds of 1.3GHz, but the processing capability of the Hot S is more advanced than that of the Camon C7. The Infinix Hot S’ processor uses eight cortex cores for operations and runs on a 64-bit technology, while the Tecno Camon C7’s processor uses four cores and runs on 32-bit technology.
Both devices come with the same 2GB RAM capacity and 16GB expandable internal storage capacities.
Battery
This aspect is one of the weak points of the Tecno Camon C7, and where it often loses to competitors in device comparisons. The Tecno Camon C7 has a 2,500mAh battery with no fast-charging features, while the Infinix Hot S packs a 3,000mAh battery with 1.5mAh Fast Charging capability.
What’s more, the Infinix Hot S can share its battery juice with other devices through the micro-USB 3.0 port it possesses. This gives it USB OTG support and allows the device to be used for reverse charging. There is none of that on the Tecno Camon C7.
Connectivity
And now to the part that interests internet geeks and browsing addicts; the Infinix Hot S comes with 4G LTE network connectivity support while the Tecno Camon C7 is still basking in the light of 3G network connectivity.
Both devices come with dual-SIM slots, but that on the Infinix Hot S is a hybrid, meaning that users have the option of using either both slots for network SIM cards, or one of them for internal storage expansion. This wouldn’t go down well with people who want to use two SIM cards and external memory cards at the same time, and may cause them to go for the Tecno Camon C7 which has separate slots for two SIM cards and microSD card.
The Infinix Hot S additionally possesses USB OTG support, something the Camon C7 doesn’t have.
Camera
Though the Tecno Camon C7 seems to be better at taking pictures and videos with its 13MP front and rear cameras, the Infinix Hot S is also good at taking high-quality shots, especially the selfie camera with wide-angle lens and soft flash.
The 13MP rear camera on the Infinix Hot S comes with a dual LED flash and super-fast Autofocus, while the Tecno Camon C7’s 13MP main camera unit is accompanied by a single LED flash.
The Camon C7’s 13MP front camera is equipped with a LED flash, while the Hot S’ 8MP front camera has both a soft flash and wide-angle lens.
Software and Hardware
Both devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from boot. The Tecno Camon C7 comes with Tecno’s HiOS, while the Infinix Hot S comes with Infinix’s refined XOS with XUI 2.0.
The Infinix Hot S is equipped with a dual-function fingerprint scanner which is absent on the Camon C7. And despite the fact that the Camon C7 is the smaller of the two devices, it is 145 grams heavy, while the Hot S is lighter at 140 grams.
Price
As I’ve always said, the Tecno Camon C7 is too expensive for the features it has to offer; it costs N42,500 in Nigeria, and there are better devices that are cheaper than it.
The price of the Infinix Hot S, on the other hand, seems okay for the features it offers. It costs N45,600 in Nigeria.

You lied about the C7 not having front flash for its camera it does your analysis is bias
Hi John, if you search around this site well, you’d see that we try our best to provide readers and electronics consumers with accurate information, and as humans we are prone to errors. I might have made an error in one of the specifications of the smartphone in question, but that doesn’t make me a liar and a biased analyst.
