This is the first Infinix smartphone with much reduction in bezels and dishing out the trendy bezel-less display. This is coming after Tecno went bezel-less with the Camon CM instead of their Phantom flagship series. Looks like both company couldn’t wait for their flagship to launch the feature. While we are waiting for the next Zero smartphone, lets see what the Hot S3 have to offer.
Design
Infinix still went ahead with their plastic overall look, although the rear camera is now beautifully placed. The camera and dual-LED flash are vertical in the top left for a modern look. It sports a rear fingerprint scanner which is just above the Infinix logo.

It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs just 150g, making it comfortable to hold and flaunt. I don’t know how Infinix makes their smartphones this light, even with the large battery capacity. The dual nano sim compatible device is available in only Sandstone Black and Brush Gold.
Display
Definitely the highlight of the device no doubt, the 5.65-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is breathtaking. The company really surprised us, just like their sister company Tecno. Honestly, i was thinking they will debut the feature with their next Zero flagship.
It has no navigation buttons and tiny narrow bezels, whole the selfie camera and front flash sits at the top. The screen boasts of resolution of 720×1440 pixels, reaching about 80% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
This is also the first smartphone from Infinix Mobile to house the Snapdragon 430 chip from Qualcomm. It boasts of Octa-core processor that reaches a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, and an Adreno graphics processor. Infinix Hot S3 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, with XOS 3.0 user interface.
In terms of RAM and storage, there are two versions, the standard one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Then there’s the Infinix Hot S3 Pro that retails for Rs. 10,999 and packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Both versions are upgradeable up to 128GB with microSD if you need more space.
Camera
Just like the midrange Camon CM from Tecno, there are no dual shooters here. It sports a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking sharp photography. While at the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture as well, 5P lens and dual-LED front Flash.
Battery
Infinix Hot S3 is a powerhouse with 4000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. It also comes with fast battery charging feature, the XCharge technology.
