Infinix Note 4 Pro vs Note 3 Pro – Which higher variant is right for you?

It’s two weeks after the Infinix Note 4 Pro and it’s standard variant, the Note 4 were released, and I’m quite excited about it because of the included Xpen (more on that later). Apart from this, the Note 4 Pro is not too different from the Note 4 and the higher variant of the 2016 iteration of the Infinix Note series, the Note 3 Pro. In this Infinix Note 4 Pro vs Note 3 Pro comparison, we examine the reasons why you should choose one device or the other, based on your needs and preferences.

Infinix Note 4 Pro vs Note 3 Pro – Differences

Display & Design

The Note 3 Pro comes with a 6-inch display like its lower variant, the Note 3. The display size has been reduced in the Infinix Note 4 series, seeing the Note 4 and Note 4 Pro come with 5.7-inch display screens.

In terms of physical properties, the Note 4 Pro has is slightly heavier and slimmer than the Note 3 Pro, having a weight of 200g and thickness of 8.3 millimetres, compared to the Note 3 Pro which weighs 199 grammes and is 8.4 millimetres.

Camera

The Note 3 Pro imitates its lower variant, sporting a 5MP camera upfront, while the Note 4 Pro improves on this with an 8MP camera manning the front of the smartphone. If you’re a selfie freak, the Note 4 Pro is your best bet.

Charging

The Infinix Note 4 Pro uses the latest fast charging technology from Infinix, XCharge 4.0 to ensure that you’re able to charge the battery up to 45% in just 30 minutes. The Note 3 Pro uses the previous version of XCharge which gives you a talk time of 200 minutes on a 5-minute charge.

Considering that both smartphones have the same battery capacity, I’d go for the Note 4 Pro if I’m choosing based on battery performance, because of its advanced charging technology and newer OS.

Hardware

Considering that most of the other spec differences are not major as to dissuade a potential smartphone buyer from buying the other, the addition of the Xpen, a stylus pen for the Infinix Note 4 Pro would be its major selling advantage over the Note 3 Pro.

The Xpen allows you to operate the smartphone more easily and do many things that would be strenuous to do with the fingers, like painting and writing notes. More on the Xpen can be found here.

A 13MP camera with dual LED flash is present at the rear of the two high-end Infinix Note smartphones to handle their main photography needs.

Battery & Connectivity
