Infinix Zero 4 vs Infinix Zero 4 Plus – Which variant is better?

Infinix Mobility launched its flagship smartphones for the year 2016, the Infinix Zero 4 (X574) and Infinix Zero 4 Plus following the success it recorded in the Infinix Zero series in the past year. These are the fourth generation members of the series, and both variants offer a massive upgrade to the Zero 3, their predecessor. The smartphones also come with a more powerful processor and a rear camera which has been upgraded with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

The Infinix Zero 4 sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 * 1920 pixels while the Infinix Zero 4 Plus sports a bigger 5.98-inch IPS Display with the same resolution. Both phones also have the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection against bumps and scratches. In terms of display, the Infinix Zero 4 Plus will be favoured by large screen lovers.

Performance & Storage

For performance, the Infinix Zero 4 features a MediaTek MT6753 chipset but a lesser 1.5GHz octa-core processor. On the other hand, the Infinix Zero 4 Plus packs a powerful deca-core (2.1GHz Dual-core; 1.4GHz quad-core and 1.85GHz quad-core) MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 processor with Mali-T880 GPU. The Infinix Zero 4 Plus proves to be more powerful than its variant Zero 4.

Furthermore, the Infinix Zero 4 offers 3GB of RAM with 32GB of built-in storage and supports up to 128GB microSD card while the Infinix Zero 4 Plus sports a larger 4GB of RAM, but the same 32GB built-in storage. It also has a dedicated slot for a memory card that can also add an additional 128GB.

Camera

The Infinix Zero 4 sports a 16MP rear camera, and at the front, it sports an 8MP camera for selfies while the Infinix Zero 4 Plus comes with a 20.7 MP Camera with a f/2.0 aoerture, Laser Autofocus and Dual LED Flash, plus a 13MP front camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. The two smartphones run on the Android 6.0 operating system. They both have a fingerprint scanner but neither has an iris scanner. However, the Infinix Zero 4 Plus comes with a better version of the XOS Chameleon Skin that can give you different wallpaper and graphics.

In Nigeria, the Infinix Zero 4 sells for a price of N94,000 while the Infinix Zero 4 Plus sells for a price of N115,000.

Conclusion – Infinix Zero 4 vs Infinix Zero 4 Plus

It is obvious that Infinix Mobility is deliberately trying to offer more in order to justify the word ‘Plus’ in the name of the Infinix Zero 4 Plus by upgrading some of the features that already come with the Zero 4, and this they have done impressively. It is therefore not surprising to see that the Zero 4 Plus costs more. I would totally go for the Zero 4 Plus without even thinking about the extra cost that comes with it.

So, which do you think is the best between the Infinix Zero 4 and Infinix Zero 4 Plus based on our comparison above?
