The latest research report from the renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple is planning to launch iPhone SE2 in the first quarter of 2020. According to Kuo, the iPhone SE2 will look similar to the iPhone 8 and will be priced at $399.
The price of the iPhone SE2 seems reasonable since the price of the first generation iPhone SE was $349. The speculations suggest that Apple may stop the production of the iPhone 8 soon after the launch of the iPhone SE2 model. In addition to this, Apple is currently selling the iPhone 8 starting at $449.
iPhone SE2 Expected Specifications
Rumours says that the phone will feature a 4.7-inch display the same as that of the iPhone 8. The phone will be powered by A13 Bionic SoC which is included in iPhone 11 along with 3G LPDDR4X RAM.
iPhone SE2 will be available in two storage options- 64GB and 128GB. However, the RAM will be kept the same in both storage variants. The phone will be launched in three different color option including Space Gray, Silver, and Red.
It is to be noted that you are not going to find the 3D touch feature here as Apple is not interested in continuing this feature anymore.
The most surprising and amazing fact is that the iPhone SE2 will come with the latest iOS 13 out of the box, thus it will be the cheapest Apple product having the latest version of iOS,
Surely, Apple will downgrade in every other aspect to balance the lower price such as 3GB RAM, smaller screen size, less battery, and more. Kuo thinks that the upcoming iPhone SE2 will be a popular upgrade for the existing iPhone 6 and 6S users without hampering their pockets.
