iTel A14 is out now in the month of December 2018 and it comes with everything minimal at the performance department, camera and display. Even the battery is small and the phone, made of plastic, is light-weight.
Even though the device comes with the good Android Oreo, it storage capacity is very small too. So you may think of people who hardly have any much interest in browsing, taking photographs, or playing intensive games as being drawn close to this smartphone. It comes in black color only. iTel A14 is not a water resistant smartphone, has no face recognition and no fingerprint sensor in-built. In fact, there is only one sensor in this device.
Display type is IPS capacitive multi-touch screen. The screen size is only 4 inches. Further, pixel density is 233 ppi, pixel resolution is 800 x 480, and display colors are 16 million. Other display features Dragontrail glass, and 56.5 screen to body ratio.
Camera Features
At the camera department, there is a single primary 2 MP lens. Understandably, the camera is equipped with LED flash. To the front, there is another single secondary selfie lens of 0.3 MP. The video performance the device is 1080p@30fps.
Furthermore, the camera features available in the iTel A14 are geotagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, auto focus, and more.
Hardware and Software
Android OS v8.1 Oreo Go Edition runs the iTel A14. In addition to that, Spreadtrum SC7731E chipset with process technology 28nm, 32-bit architecture operates in the device. Accordingly, the CPU is 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7, while the GPU is Mali 400 MP1.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
Internal memory inside iTel A14 is a meager 512MB and cannot be expanded. This is followed by a 8GB internal storage that can be increased to 32GB with the use of a micro-SD card.
Also, as mentioned before, the only sensor in the iTel A14 is one and that is accelerometer.
Network and Connectivity
To this effect, this smartphone is able to handle 2G and 3G and that means that it is GSM and HSPA. In addition, there are two micro SIM card slots provided to make things work on the device.
Other connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and USB 2.0.
Battery Life in iTel A14
Powering the device is a Li-Ion 1500 mAh removable battery which has no fast charging technology. However, the smartphone doesn’t have wireless charging technology.
Price and Availability iTel A14
Price of iTel A14 is said to be $45 USD, However, it seems to be the official price. The smartphone has just been released on the 5th of December and will be available shortly in stores.
