The Itel A62 has been launched in India as one of company’s flagship offerings. The device is the latest smartphone from Itel that focuses on being trendy and targets the youth as well.

Design
If you are into the trending iPhone X-like placement of the dual cameras on smartphones but you are on a budget, then the A62 might be your device of choice. It comes with the trendy feature and this makes it look premium.
There’s also a rear fingerprint scanner for quick access if you are not into Face IDs as well. To give it the final touch, Itel brought on the dual curved antenna lines here, there’s one at the top and one at the bottom. It will be available in Black, Champagne and Red colors.
Display
With this, we can tell Itel isn’t ready for the notch yet, the company went for the standard 18:9 aspect ratio. We’ve seen couple of Itel smartphones with this type of screen, so this isn’t new.
Nonetheless, the 5.65-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is clear enough for users. It sports 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density as well for sharp visuals.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the MediaTek MT6739 chip with its 28nm manufacturing process and 4-cores of processor. The Quad-core processor reaches a max speed of 1.3GHz, while the PowerVR GE8100 handles graphics clocks at 570MHz.
There’s a generous 2GB of RAM space here from Itel, this reaches a memory speed of 667MHz for a smooth ride. While in the storage department, you get 16GB space and a slot to upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
For photography, it sports dual 13MP + 0.3MP shooters which brings Portrait, Bokeh, pano and lowlight modes. There’s a LED flash in-between the cameras as well. While the 5MP selfie camera has beautify technology and supports Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Itel A62 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 1.8 hours.
