Itel S13 is one of the smartphones that are slated for release under the stable of itel Mobile soon. There are indications that this phone will be released sometime in the third quarter of 2018, and as evident, this device will be the latest addition to the S series from itel.
Introduction to Itel S13
This mobile device is an affordable smartphone that offers premium features in the camera department. So if you’re one for selfies, this smartphone is for you. You don’t have to pay much to get this phone because the manufacturer has trimmed other features just to ensure you enjoy taking good selfies and you also get that at good pricing.
Design and Display
The Itel S13 smartphone comes with 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 480 x 960. This device sports a plastic back with a fingerprint scanner for quick access to the device and there is a loudspeaker for quality sound. Itel S13 also sports 196 pixels per inch density for sharp visuals.
The screen also stretches up to 72 percent screen-to-body ratio. This screen spreads all the way to the sides of the device, making the narrow bezels almost invisible.
Camera Features
Here’s where the Itel S13 has power more than its peers. The rear dual cameras are 5 MP + 5 MP. The dual cameras here are capable of LED flash. The front or selfie camera and the LED are on the top bezels but there isn’t any provision for flash in the front camera.
This front camera is 13 MP which means that although it has no flash capabilities, the user can still snap quality selfies that friends and followers will admire on social media.
Hardware and Performance
As usual, Itel S13 runs Android 8.1 Oreo but will be able to upgrade to Android Go with CPU Quad-core 1.3 GHz, MediaTek MT6580 chipset. Storage capacity is 8GB internal, with 1GB RAM. These specifications remind one of Microsoft Lumia 540 Windows phone.
Storage capacity can be increased to 32GB by microSD card. To control graphics, there is the ARM Mali – 400 MP2 graphics card.
Battery Life
Battery power for Itel S13 is 2400 mAh battery which we can’t really tell if it’s a removable type or not. The battery type is Li-Po and really assures that for a mobile phone of this level, the battery is okay. However, there will be no fast charging capabilities.
You can tell by the hardware and battery life that Itel S13 is especially for small-time users or first-time users who won’t bother much about speed or space availability.
Network and Connectivity
Network technology for Itel S13 includes GSM, WCDMA, and LTE. The 3G support is for WCDMA B1 2100 MHz or 850 MHz but the 4G support is LTE. The device supports Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, hotpot and A-GPS, and Glonass. The device is able to support dual Nano SIM.
Price and Availability
The exact price for Itel S13 isn’t known for now but it will be between $59 to $79. It will be available on offline and online shopping stores, believably, by the end of September 2018.
