Lava Mobiles has released a new entry-level smartphone in April 2020. It is called Benco V6. This device comes with little storage space, stringent features at the camera department, and still the Processor is designed to enhance the performance of the device. But think of it, it arrived with a fingerprint sensor!
Lava Benco V6 Design
That the Benco V6 is a very cheap phone doesn’t mean that it is not beautiful. Of course, the body material is mainly plastic but it sports glass at the front. The dimensions are 146.7 x 74 x 9.3 mm, while the weight is 173 grams. It comes in only black color.
Lava Benco V6 Display
The display size in this smartphone is 5.5 IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen technology. Also, it is a multi-touch design, up to 3 fingers. Accordingly, the screen to body ratio is 73.2 percent, while the resolution is 720 x 1440 pixels. There is 192-pixel density and the display is devoid of a notch or a punch-hole design.
Benco V6 Processor
Unisoc Spreadtrum SE9832E is the Processor inside the Benco V6 device. Further, the CPU speed is pathetic 1.3 GHz, while the GPU is Mali T820 MP2.
Storage Features
Storage specs for Benco V6 is not impressive either, as there’s 1 GB of RAM which can’t be increased, and 16 GB of ROM. The user is able to increase this storage with the use of a microSD card up to 32 GB.
Battery Power
Powering the Benco V6 is a good 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery. It has no wireless or fast charging whatsoever. But it is good to note that the battery does justice to the Processor and it is able to give the needed backup for a time while the device won’t need a charge.
Software Features & Sensors
Android v9.0 Pie Go Edition is the operating system in the Benco V6. There’s no assurance that the phone will receive Android v10 update soon. In addition to that, the Sensors in the smart are fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, compass, and light. Notably, the fingerprint sensor is placed at the rear of the smartphone.
Speaker & Call Quality
The department of sound is basic. Benco V6 offers no out-of-the-way features as a further benefit to the user. Yes, it has a loudspeaker and the 3.5mm jack is also intact. The sound is just as normal for an entry-level device.
Camera, Video, & Image Quality
Both at the rear and the front, Benco V6 device sport 5 MP cameras. They both arrived with stringent features that I can confidently call a child’s play features because they are so reduced that most adults would kick against the phone for having these specs. Both video and image quality are so low. Other features of the cameras are digital zoom, LED flash, and others.
Benco V6 Price
The official price of Benco V6 is $75. But in Nigeria that would cost about $28,500. Prices may change at any time.
The Verdict
No doubt, Benco V6 is an entry-level that can only appeal to kids or first-time smartphone users. From the display to the battery specs, we could see that everything was designed to balance themselves. However, the fingerprint sensor is a welcome surprise in the cheap device.
