THE DESIGN
To be candid I can’t really say why but on this one Lenovo chose to adopt a rather simple design for it 100S Chromebook. The laptop’s outer casing is made entirely of black plastic with a subtle textured pattern. Inside, the Chiclet-style keyboard and bezels are made of a black matte plastic.
Talking about the ports I didn’t really expect much from a small 11.6 inch machine as this so kudos anyway. On its right side is a single USB 2.0 port and a Kensington lock slot. On the left is the charging port, an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, an SD card slot and a headphone jack.
GENERAL PERFORMANCE
My review unit of the Lenovo 100S Chromebook is powered by a 2.16-GHz Intel Celeron N2840 processor with 2GB of RAM. It was fairly snappy when I did the basics but everything started falling apart when I opened 15 tabs in Google Chrome while I streamed videos too.
THE PRICE
Starting at N40.000 the Lenovo 100S Chromebook is very affordable and very fit for students.
