Remember the Lenovo ZUK Z2? The smartphone was released in June and now Lenovo has released a slightly modified and cheaper version dubbed ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 Edition. The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 edition is specially produced for the Rio 2016 Olympic games coming up later next month in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

The major modification the ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 Edition takes is in the aspect of the memory. The device crams just 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage on board  whereas the parent ZUK Z2 smartphone features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage and there seem not to be a microSD slot on the device. The device doesnt sport any physical logo of the Olympics but packs some bunch of Rio 2016 wallpapers and themes for your delight. Recall Samsung i the official mobile partner for the 2016 Olympic games.

The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 Edition pops in black and white color options only and is currently available for pre-orders on China’s Suning Tesco ,and Suning Tesco Lynx flagship store, with a price tag of 1500 yuan ($225) after a 99 yuan discount. As with phone sales in China, the sleek device will official go on flash sale on August 2.
