LG V35 ThinQ was introduced quietly by LG a couple of days ago, the device will be competing with most flagship, thanks to the Snapdragon 845 chip on-board. Apart from the chipset, the device is pretty much like the V30S ThinQ that was released earlier this year with the ThinQ smarts.

It has a tall Full Vision P-OLED display, octa-core processor, there’s a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. LG’s signature Quad DAC is on-board here bringing various sound enhancements, including DTS:X with 3D virtualization up to 7.1 audio. Lets find out more.
Design
At first glance, you’ll immediately know this is a LG smartphone, not because of the LG logo underneath or the V35 ThinQ inscription. But because of how it was built, the dual shooters are horizontal at the top middle, with the LED flash and heart rate sensor beside it, while the fingerprint scanner comes underneath.
The smartphone comes with MIL-STD 810G compliant, making the device take anything literally thrown at it. It has a glass back and also IP68 certified, for water and dust resistant. It measures 7.3mm in thickness and weighs 157g overall. It’s available in New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray colors only.
Display
The V35 ThinQ is a good alternative to the G7 ThinQ flagship smartphone, for anti-notch users. The LG V35 ThinQ kept it simple when it comes to display, there’s no notch here, just the usual 18:9 aspect ratio screen with Full Vision display.
The 6-inch P-OLED capacitive touchscreen is absolutely stunning, boasting of 1440 x 2880 pixels in resolution. Details on the screen will be sharp and clear enough for users with its 537 ppi density. The screen has Dolby Vision, HDR10 compliant, Always-on display and stretches up to 81.2% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm reigns supreme with an Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a blazing speed of 2.8GHz with 10nm FinFET process technology as well. The Adreno 630 graphics processor controls graphics.
For multitasking, there’s a massive 6GB of RAM to handle all that, it has a memory speed of 1.8GHz as well. There are two versions in terms of storage here, the standard version comes with 64GB, while the V35 Plus ThinQ has 128GB, both storage can be upgraded to 400GB. The LG V35 ThinQ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the LG UX 6.0+ interface.
Camera
The V35 ThinQ sports dual 16MP + 16MP shooters with f/1.6 and f/1.9 aperture respectively and a LED flash. The first camera from the left has 1µm pixel sixe, 3-axis OIS and PDAF. Features on both cameras include phase detection & laser autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, Super Bright Camera mode (pixel binning) and AI.
Easily shoot sharp videos of 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps and 720p@120fps. You can also perform 24-bit/192kHz stereo sound rec and HDR video with the device, just like on the LG G7 ThinQ. The selfie 8MP camera has f/1.9 aperture for stunning selfies.
Battery
Powering the LG V35 ThinQ is a 3300mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast and wireless charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.5 hours.
