LG X4 (2024) Launched In South Korea With Helio P22, dedicated Google Assistant button

LG has introduced another budget smartphone in it’s home South Korea with great specifications. The phone was announced as the successor of the LG X4+ that was launched last year. The LG X4 features the same body design and specifications with the K40 launched in South Africa and the 12+ in Brazil. So it’s a new budget device with a different moniker for South Koreans.

On the body, the phone features a decent body built with a premium material despite the fact that it’s in the budget family. The most exciting is that it comes with some features you will find on LG flagship phones. Some of the features include powerful audio and AI-enhanced software. You will also get a dedicated button for Google Assistant at the left side. The SIM tray is placed at the bottom left side of the display below the Google Assistant button and the volume rocker. You will find the power button in the right corner.

On the specifications, the phone offers a screen display size of 5.7-inch IPS HD+ with 18:9 aspect ratio. It still comes with some bezels both on the top and bottom of the screen. This is not that good though because it will give the device an 16:9 aspect ratio phone look. Behind the wheel is a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The inbuilt memory on the phone is 32GB and it’s expandable via micro SD card.

Moving to the camera department, you will get an average 16MP PDAF camera with LED flash. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back as well. The 8MP selfies camera will take natural and clean photos. Other features include a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound audio for your listening pleasure via the 3.5mm jack. It also has a quad Hi-Fi quad DAC and MIL-STD 810G certification which will increase its durability.

Booting the phone is Android Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX custom skin on top. The LG X4 2019 is available in Aurora Black and Platinum Gray colors. It will sell at a price of $260/230 about 297,000 Won in Korea.
