The LG Zone 4 is now officially available on shopping stores as a budget friendly smartphone. This is coming after fans were waiting for the much-anticipated LG G7 to make its grand appearance.
The Zone 4 was launched to calm people’s nerves and focuses on those on a budget. For those LG fans on a budget, this might be your ideal smartphone. Lets take a look.
Design
Well, look on the bright side, it comes with a rear fingerprint scanner just like the LG G7. However, it sports an overall Plastic look and locked to Verizon. The vertical train going on at the top middle is highlight of the rear. The rear camera comes first, while the LED flash follows suit, before the fingerprint scanner.
The LG logo is at the bottom corner with a rear loudspeaker as well. Turning over to the sides, dual volume keys sits by the left and the power button is by the right. It measures 7.87 mm in thickness, which is impressive for budget device. Overall, it weighs 140g and available in only Blue color.
Display
I know this is a budget smartphone, but to me, it’s a huge disappointment from LG. We’ve seen lots of budget friendly smartphones in its price range ship with bezel-less display. The bottom bezel looks so huge and doesn’t even house any navigation button.
The top bezel however houses the speaker grille, selfie camera and ambient light sensor. The 5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays like a budget smartphone it is. A resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 294 pixel per inch density. The screen dishes out a 16:9 aspect ratio and stretches up to 66.40 % screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chip alongside a 64-bit CPU architecture. The CPU frequency is a quad-core processor that clocks at 1.4GHz and has a 28nm process technology. While the Qualcomm Adreno 308 handles graphics and clocks at 500MHz.
There’s a standard 2GB of RAM for multitasking, with a memory speed of 667MHz. Store all your files in the 16GB storage, if it isn’t enough, you can always upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card. The Zone 4 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with UX 6.0+ skin.
Camera
For photography, there’s a rear 8MP shooter that captures 3K resolution images. The camera comes with a LED flash and other features, which helps in taking photographs with 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. The 5MP selfie camera has a 100 degree wide-angle lens, perfect for group selfies.
Battery
Powering the LG Zone 4 is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, it might take up to 2.6 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

This phone is good can do a lot of basic things with no problems …..good interface too..
Just like Michael Jackson sang in his last song: “This is it!” I’ve always been a great fan of LG, basically because of their batteries which last longer than most other brands. This phone is awesome, inside and outside. I especially love the position of the buttons on the left side. It’s brilliant. Most times, I do mistakenly press the power button on my phone owing to the fact that it’s positioned on the right side. Every other other thing about this phone is worth putting money on, honestly.
This is a poor one from LG! The phone is not even encouraging at all because of the poor spec it’s come with! LG need to step up their game on budget friendly smartphone
