Meizu V8 and V8 Pro are official – 5.7-inch displays, different processors

Meizu V8 and V8 Pro were officially launched yesterday by the Chinese company, along with two other important devices such as Meizu 16X and X8.

Both smartphones are equipped with a 5.7-inch display with an 18 – 9 aspect ratio, a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back side and a 5-megapixel front camera with f / 1.9 aperture. Meizu also revealed the price of the V8 and V8 Pro, release date and technical specifications. Between the two smartphones, there are few but significant differences, starting from the fact that the V8 has only one rear camera, while the V8 Pro is equipped with a dual camera on the back.

The price of the Meizu V8 has been set at 799 Yuan (around 100 euros) while the price of the Meizu V8 Pro is 1,098 Yuan (about 137 euros). Both smartphones are already in pre-order on the Meizu website. The official sale of the two products will start on September 26th in China – there are no official communications yet, but the impression is that the phones will also arrive in Europe.

Meizu V8 will be available in black and white, while Meizu V8 Pro will come in black and gray.

Meizu V8 runs Flyme OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with a 5.7-inch HD + (720 × 1440 pixels). The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 processor, combined with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of integrated storage space expandable via microSD card (up to 128 GB). As for the photo compartment, the smartphone showcases a single 13-megapixel rear camera with f / 2.2 aperture and a two-color LED flash module. On the front, it is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with aperture f / 1.9. The phone also has a 3200 mAh battery.

Also, the Meizu V8 Pro runs Flyme OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and showcases a 5.7-inch HD + display (720 × 1440 pixels). The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, combined with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB of integrated storage space expandable via microSD card (up to 128 GB). In terms of optics, the smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor, both with f / 2.2 aperture, while on the front we find a 5 MP camera. The battery, from 3100 mAh, is slightly lower than the standard version.
