Micromax Canvas 2 Plus 2018 has been introduced by the company on its official website alongside the Canvas 2 2018. The India based OEM is famous for its budget-friendly smartphones that offers great value for money.
The Canvas 2 Plus 2018 brings more features than what we saw on the Canvas 2 2018. There’s now 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage space along wit the Full Vision Display and Face ID we saw on its little sibling. Lets meet the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus 2018.
Design
It looks a lot like the Canvas 2 2018, sporting a Plastic back and a Metal frame for a more sublime design. The body has a premium finish and comes with a rear fingerprint scanner which unlocks in a second. The device was unveiled in Black.
The device houses a vertical foundation that flows with the current trend as well. On top of it, we can see the rear camera and the LED flash. Turning over to the sides, it measures just 8mm in thickness and has a super slim design.
Display
Witness true vivid visuals with the HD+ screen on the Canvas 2 Plus 2018. With its impressive 18:9 aspect ratio screen, you’ll definitely watch all your movies in HD while in landscape mode. The bezels are almost not noticeable due to the taller screen.
Speaking of screen, the 5.7inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is ready to bring your visuals to reality. It boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density, with 450 Nits of brightness. There’s a 2.5D curved glass on top for protection as well.
Hardware and Software
Working behind the wheels, is the MediaTek MT6737T chip with its 28nm process technology, so power efficiency won’t be like modern chips. It has 4-Cores of processor which clocks at a smooth speed of 1.45GHz. While the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics card here clocks at 600MHz with 2-Cores.
You can now launch more apps and multitask through them all with the 3GB of RAM space available. Even though it has the same memory speed of 733MHz, the storage space was expanded to 32GB. Although, you can top it up a notch with a memory card. The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus 2018 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Camera
The 13MP rear shooter at the rear has f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um Pixel Size, 80° FOV, beauty mode, time lapse, watermark, LED flash and lots of other features. While the 8MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture as well, with beauty mode, portrait mode, selfie flash, 80° FOV and support for Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus 2018 is a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 3 hours.
