The Moto G5S has been launched in the Indian market as a successor to the Moto G5 smartphone which was launched earlier this year. Motorola has labelled the device along with the Moto G5S Plus as ‘Special Edition’ devices which will feature improvements in several departments from what was available on their predecessors.

The Moto G5S features a larger 5.2-inch Full HD capacitative touchscreen than its 5.0 inch predecessor. Its display offers 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution, ~424 ppi of pixel density and enjoys protection from the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen.
Design
The device comes in a metal unibody design, stepping up from the plastic frame that housed the Moto G5. It weighs 157g and measures 150 * 73.5 * 8.2 mm in dimensions.

The Moto G5S is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor running at a clock speed of 1.4GHz coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU to ease graphical operations and prevent lagging. The smartphone also packs 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD.
Camera
The smartphone boasts a massive 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Autofocus and LED Flash for taking better pictures in low-light conditions, while retaining the 5MP shooter that featured on the Moto G5 with LED Flash and wide-angle lens for group selfies.
