The Motorola Moto E5 Cruise has found its way to Cricket for an affordable price. The Moto E5 Play also debuted in the US on Verizon and Sprint. Now, Cricket has announced the smartphone is available with them for just a token.
The E5 Cruise has everything you need it you are a light user or on a budget. The Snapdragon 425 still does the work underneath with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space as well. Without further ado, lets meet the Motorola Moto E5 Cruise.
Design
The Moto E5 Cruise has a Plastic back that looks exactly like the Moto E5 Play. We can also the inscription “Cricket” at the bottom corner as the company marks its territory. There’s the Moto logo at the usual position with no support for fingerprint here.
The circular foundation at the top middle houses the rear camera and LED in a vertical position. The volume keys and power button are present by the right side, as it measures 8.89mm in thickness and weighs 170g overall. It’s available in only Blue color.
Display
It has a normal small screen with much bezels just like the Moto E5. The screen offers a 16:9 aspect ratio, it isn’t what we will refer to as “trendy”. The huge bottom bezels houses a Motorola engraving, while the top bezel has the usual features.
The 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is pretty standard for its price and perfect for those on a budget. It has 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density. Furthermore, the screen stretches up to 67% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 425 chip from Qualcomm, the chip was built on a 28nm process technology. There’s 4-cores of processor here which clocks at 1.4GHz, while the Adreno 308 graphics processor handles graphics.
You are allowed to multitask with just 2GB of RAM space available here, there’s a memory speed of 667MHz as well. In the storage department, you get 16GB space and an external memory support of up to 128GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
For photography, the 8MP rear camera has f/2.2 aperture and 1.12um pixel size, there’s a LED underneath the camera as well. While at the top bezel, there’s a 5MP selfie camera with a front LED flash.
Battery
Powering the Motorola Moto E5 Cruise is a 2800mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.4 hours.
