Huawei MateBook 13 receives an interesting new version with Whiskey Lake-U processors

The company introduced the Huawei MateBook 13 at an event in China. The Huawei MateBook 13 features an IPS display of 2160 x 1440 pixels, with a 100 percent sRGB color gamut, and slim bevels for an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. Huawei is positioning the MateBook 13 as a device that is roughly the same size as Apple’s new MacBook Air while offering more processing power. It will be available with at least two different CPU / GPU options:

  • Intel Core i5-8265U with Intel UHD 620 graphics
  • Intel Core i7-8565U with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics

The notebook has 8 GB of LPDDR3-2133 RAM and a 256 GB SSD, and Huawei promises up to 10 hours of battery life during video playback, thanks to the 42 Wh battery on the computer. The ports include a headphone jack and USB Type-C ports on the right and left sides of the laptop. There is also a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, and it has an NFC module compatible with Huawei Share 3.0 software, which allows you to quickly share files between your PC and a Huawei smartphone at speeds up to 30 MB / s.

Huawei says that the MateBook 13 will ship in December, no details have been given about the price.
