Many and many people have complained that Xiaomi phones do not show push notifications. This is actually more of a Chinese thing. Most smartphones manufactured in China suppresses push notifications to improve battery life.
“I don’t receive WhatsApp notifications”- how to solve
This can be annoying for those who want to know immediately when a message arrives on your phone. Well, here are five small steps to help you get back to normal with notifications on your Xiaomi device running MIUI.
Notifications do not work on Xiaomi phones with MIUI
Step 1: Go to settings, manage app battery usage, choose apps. From there, choose all the apps you want to receive push notifications and select “No restrictions”.
Step 2: Go to settings, permissions, automatic start. From there, choose the apps you want to receive notifications and activate the switch to activate it.
Step 3: Go to Settings, App notifications- choose the apps you want to receive notifications from, then turn on “Priority”.
Step 4: Block the app in the “Recent Apps” / “App Overview” plan. Do it first by opening the apps, then press the “recent app/overview button” (which is the square button on standard Android or the button with three horizontal lines on the Mi Mix or swipe up and hold if you are on MIUI 10 ). From there, find the app you want to receive notifications, drag it down to “lock” it so that it is never deleted.
Step 5: This last step requires the privileges of the Developer Options. To enable, go to the settings (friend … I’m getting tired of typing “go to settings” …) – Information on the phone. Touch the MIUI version tab just eight times. You should, therefore, receive a small message saying “you are now a developer”. Then go back to the settings, go to the developer option, scroll to the bottom, find the “memory optimization” tab and deactivate.
