NUU Mobile are known for making the most affordable smartphones with over the top specs. Although most of their phones are purportedly a clone of other high-end smartphones. The new G3 is now available for pre-order for just $199, according to the company’s website.
NUU G3 sure looks like the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S9, if the Galaxy S9 renders are anything to go by. Although the much visible top and bottom bezels at the front could easily give it a way. The new device pack a bunch for its cheap price, lets have a look at this stunning beauty.
Design
If this was meant to be the Galaxy S9 clone then we are hoping the bezels are there by mistake. But nevertheless, the company did amazingly well with the design. The edge to edge curved glass looks astonishing and elegant, just like the Galaxy flagships. NUU G3 also boasts of the trending Face ID (facial recognition software). With the Face ID you can unlock the G3 just with a glance.
The dual rear camera on this device, which is in a horizontal format is giving me the Galaxy S9 vibe. The fingerprint scanner under the dual shooter can be used alternatively to the Face ID. All these are located at the top, while the LED Flash is by the right of the cameras. Overall, the metal frame body looks magnificent and it measures 9mm slim, making it a pleasure to hold.
Display
NUU Mobile tried the trendy bezel-less look with the G3 and its not that bad. Though there are still much bezels at the top and bottom, but they did pretty well with the narrow bezels. The screen looks like the typical Galaxy smartphones, well in a much affordable body. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio, a HD+ screen that will bring life to your movies and games.
It might be a clone, but we can’t take away the fact that its 5.7-inch dual curve screen is stunning. The screen resolution is however, disappointing, with 720 x 1440 pixels. But overall the screen offers an exquisite and unprecedented viewing experience with immersive visuals.
Hardware and Software
For a smartphone that retails for less than $200, it sure packs a bunch. Running the show is the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, with the 16nm Octa-core processor clocking at 2.39GHz. Execute demanding tasks with ease thanks to the 4GB of RAM space.

You know what techies are saying right? ‘If it doesn’t sport dual rear camera then it wasn’t released this year’. The 13MP f/2.0 + 5MP f/2.0 rear camera on the NUU G3 should produce the best of photography. The 13MP PureCel lens is quite powerful and fast with autofocus. It also comes with the Bokeh effect feature for soft and natural looking photographs.
For selfies, there’s a 13MP front shooter with an 88 degree wide angle lens for the best selfies. The selfie camera also boasts of a Beauty Mode feature to beautify your face. For taking selfies in low light environment, the selfie camera comes with a dedicated LED Flash.
Battery
NUU G3 is powered by a 3000mAh battery that is Non-removable. The smartphone also boasts of a fast charging feature with battery performance optimization to last for long.
