MIUI, the user interface with which Xiaomi based on Android, is loved by millions of people around the world. In the last seven years, many functions and optimisations have been developed that will improve the way you use your smartphone. MIUI is intuitive, useful and very easy to use. New features of MIUI 9
My Drop
My Drop allows file transfers without problems between devices without the need for an Internet connection. This feature is compatible with devices that run on Android 4.4 and later.
My video
My Video allows you to see the most popular videos at the moment, including subtitles. It even intelligently groups the episodes of a program, as well as allowing you to hide videos that you wish to keep private.
Application vault
This function will place the applications that you like in a specific place, so you will not have to suffer looking for your favourite app. You can make calls, take notes, be aware of upcoming events and much more in one place. The best thing about this is that you can access these applications with a single touch.
Animated icons
The icons that the system brings are no longer static, and both their opening and closing are more satisfactory thanks to the new animations that were incorporated, so they look much better.
Split screen
In MIUI 9, there is the possibility of running two applications simultaneously, and you can adjust the screen space each one will occupy. This will be a great help for people who have a business, or those who enjoy watching videos and talking by text message.
Delete lines and objects from the images
Do you want to erase something you do not like in a picture? Well, with the My Cloud AI algorithm you will be able to eliminate lines and unwanted objects that are found in your photos. Because of this, you can create masterpieces in the blink of an eye.
Stickers
The photos with effects are a bit boring, so the Stickers come to replace them. Add special and fun stickers to your photos to get the best out of them.
Starting screen
The home screen of MIUI 9 is completely customizable so that you can change it to your liking. Simply pinch the screen to rearrange the icons, in addition to adding widgets and being able to uninstall applications.
Improvement in the notification sample
The new update with which notifications now show the information in a more concise and complete. Group all notifications according to the application they come from to reduce clutter. You can even respond quickly to messages without opening the application.
Silent mode
The silent mode can now be enabled without using the side buttons, as it can be done directly through the sound panel, and you can set a time to disable this mode automatically.
Calendar cards
The calendar no longer only works to notify any event we have, but now allows us to see the horoscope, news, articles related to exercise and health, the next football matches and what will be done during the day.
Train tickets
This is a feature specially made for those people who use the train. MIUI 9 now recognises the text messages in which your train ticket is found, and automatically converts them into simple cards with all the information needed to it so that you can use them in any station.
Fast as lightning
The speed of opening applications is key to the overall experience. MIUI 9 not only opens the fastest system applications but also most of the applications that are on the phone. Mobile operating systems tend to slow down after prolonged use, so the causes of this were analyzed and smoothness was optimised into dozens of factors to ensure optimal performance.
