The Oppo A73s has found its way to the company’s website with all of its specs and features unveiled. The device is upgraded variant of the A73 smartphone that was introduced last year.
Internally, the specs reminds us of the Realme 1. It’s powered by the Helio P60 from MediaTek with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. It has a tall 1080p screen, Face ID, a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP front camera. Lets find out more.
Design
The A73s was designed with the latest manufacturing and polishing process, it’s beautiful and stunning from any angle you look at. It’s special diamond back reflects light in the most subtle way as well. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner, so you have to depend on the Face ID for biometric access.
The triangular-cut patterns at the rear gives us a Realme 1 vibe and we are loving it. We can also see the rear camera and LED flash at the top left corner in a horizontal format. It measures 7.8mm in thickness when you turn over to the sides and weighs 155g overall. It’s available in Solor Red and Diamond Black.
Display
There’s no notch here, Oppo kept it simple with the 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The screen is curved all the way to the sides for that sleek front view. The top and bottom bezels is not that thick as well, the usual features are at the top.
The tall 6-inch FHD+ LTPS TFT capacitive touchscreen is breathtakingly beautiful. It has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 403 pixel per inch density for crystal clear visuals. The screen got up to 84.8% screen-to-body ratio, this gives you 11% bigger view.
Hardware and Software
It houses the Helio P60 chip from MediaTek which comes with its 12nm process technology and AI for improved power efficiency and performance. The 8-cores of processor clocks at 2.0GHz max, while the AI-powered ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processor controls graphics.
Enjoy effortless and smooth multiasking with the 4GB of RAM space available, this will let you seamlessly switch between apps. While the storage space is pegged at 64GB buy you can expand up to 256GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 skin on top.
Camera
The AI-powered 13MP rear camera has f/2.2 aperture and captures amazing photographs with nice exposure and scene recognition. While the 8MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture as well, boasts of AI Beauty Technology 2.0 and supports Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Oppo A73s is a 3410mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
