If you are an Apple user then you should really read this guide in order find out what Apple knows about you.
We constantly share a lot of information about ourselves just by using our smartphone without even knowing it. Thanks to the Facebook and Analytical Saga that seems to have awakened us to the reality of things. Pushing us to ask an important question; What do these sites like Google, Apple, Microsoft etc really know about us? What information have we unknowingly given? And how do we manage/delete this data if we want?
Well, thanks to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which went into effect not long ago requiring tech companies to give its users more control over their online personal data and how the said data is being used and shared. The first step being transparency; showing you everything they have on you. From there you can decide what to do with the information.
Apple has also prided themselves as taking security very seriously, in fact, there is a quote on their privacy page that reads; “We believe security shouldn’t come at the expense of individual privacy.”. However, they still have your data and you should probably find out what they have before figuring what to do from there.
