Since the day of the PS5 presentation event, we have been seeing various types of mockups to try to reach the real size of the new generation console, but also with other older consoles known for their size (like the PS3).
That said, the truth is that although it is almost undeniable that the PS5 is really going to be big… It won’t be as big as what the last mockup that went viral shows.
PlayStation 5 is great! But it’s not that big
So, as you may already know, PlayStation 5 is really a beast in size (and probably in weight). After all, all estimates point to the new Sony console being taller and also thicker than the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PS4 Pro, PS3, etc… However, it doesn’t even reach the heights of the image estimates in up!
This image that has been shared completely by luck is more fake than Donald Trump’s tan, now look at the size of the front USB port compared to the Xbox on the side. After all, if you don’t know, you are supposed to use references such as the size of the Blu-Ray player or the size of the USB ports, in order to determine with a minimum margin of error the expected size of a product that has not yet been revealed to 100%. So when you look at a USB port that looks like two, it’s easy to come to the conclusion that the image doesn’t make any sense.
In the meantime, the console launch should happen in November 2020. Therefore, there must be another event to reveal the console itself, as well as other important things … Like the price!
