In short, only the iPhone owner can access WhatsApp!
Say goodbye to the curious, to the spies and to the meddlers, with the new feature of Whatsapp you can decide to access the popular messaging service only after the recognition of the face or the fingerprint.
How to activate Face ID or Touch ID authentication on WhatsApp
In order to insert a security system on WhatsApp, you must first download the latest update on the AppStore.
Then you have to open WhatsApp and go to the settings tab located at the bottom right.
Then you log in, then in privacy. Scroll through the entire screen and tap on the button: Lock screen.
If you have an iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR, the app will propose you to use the Face ID to unlock WhatsApp.
If instead, you have a previous iPhone to the models listed above, WhatsApp will propose to unlock WhatsApp with Touch ID, or the fingerprint.
You can then decide how long WhatsApp will ask you to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID. You can choose between- immediately, 1 minute, after 15 minutes or after an hour. It’s up to you to choose.
Notifications and calls WhatsApp with the lock function activated
As the app informs, if you have activated authentication with Face ID or Touch ID you can continue to read notifications on screen lock, reply on the notification or answer calls and WhatsApp video calls.
Safety vS comfort
Certainly, this new feature of WhatsApp will appeal to those who want to keep a tight control on privacy and security for work or personal needs.
For those who don’t need account security, there will definitely be no need to set up authentication. Unless you have something to hide.
