PUBG Will Soon Introduce A Story-Based Gameplay

PUBG is the most popular and demanding battle royal game and only a tough competitor to Fortnite. PUBG lacks behind when it comes to story-based gameplay and seeing this the developers have decided to bring story-based gameplay for the PUBG lovers.

Glen Schofield is a co-founder of Sledgehammer games and he is also going to run a new studio named as Striking Distance. This independent studio is owned by PUBG Corporation. PUBG has created this studio to mainly work on the introduction of story-based gameplay.

The unit of the Striking Distance studio is working on an “original narrative experience within the PUBG universe”. Glen Schofield is appointed as leader of this unit. He has previously worked in developing games like Dead Space and Call Of Duty.

Schofield said, “As a creative, the freedom to explore the PUBG universe has me excited about the possibilities, which I view as beyond the battle royale genre”.  The rumors suggest that the new story-based game will be set inside the PUBG world.

Fortnite has also a story-driven mode which is known as “Save The World”. But this mode was able to attract a small audience only. We are not sure that the new narrative based game will work for PUBG or not. It is not the first time that we are seeing story-based games. Games like Battlefield, Call Of Duty and Dead Space are using story-driven gameplay. The release date has not been confirmed yet by the company.
