This new Realme 2 Pro could be a rebranded Oppo A7x because they both look very much alike. We are not surprised, for Realme is the sub-smartphone brand of Oppo. The company recently launched Realme 2 smartphone in India, a smartphone that many considered arrived with an underpowered processor when compared to the Realme 1.
So, the firm decided to launch the Realme 2 Pro on 27th September. To give fans what they should expect, the company also accompanied the announcement with a Realme 2 Pro teaser, which helps us to understand what the device will accomplish.
Design and Display of Realme 2 Pro
Oppo Realme 2 Pro arrives in a 6.3-inch LPS LCD screen, according to what the teaser presented. The screen has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, offering 409 ppi. No information is given about the type of protection on the Realme 2 Pro yet.
Camera Features
There’s a dual camera setup with a 13 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture plus a 5 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for the rear cameras. The device will also have a 16 MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. We can say that this moderate and youthful ones will enjoy snapping selfies as often as they want.
It is also revealed that the video recording quality found on both the rear primary camera and the one that is front-facing is limited to 1080p @ 30fps.
Hardware, Software and Storage Capacity
The Oppo Realme 2 Pro will be powered by the flagship MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. This is an octa-core processor with a 4 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-G72 MP3. The storage capacity for the Realme 2 Pro appears to be a variant of 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 64GB, while there may also exist prospect for the company to launch another 6GB RAM variant, with internal storage of 128GB.
There also indications that the Realme 2 Pro may arrive in three variants of 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. These are yet to be confirmed.
This version of Realme will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with custom colorOS 5.2. It can easily update to Android 9 Pie through a software update. It will also feature Snapdragon 660 chipset and a Geekbench.
Storage capacity can be boosted up to the tune of 256GB with the aid of a microSD card.
Network and Connectivity
There are spaces for dual Nano SIM slots GSM + GSM. Also, both slots will conveniently handle 4G LTE or VoLTE support with Bluetooth 4.2. There’s also the capacity for dual-channel Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, and FM radio. It comes with a micro USB port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Oppo Realme 2 Pro Battery Life
A decent 4500 mAh battery will power the Realme 2 Pro. There is also the capacity for fast charging, but we cannot tell how long the user can operate the handset after giving it a full charge. One thing is clear, the user should be able to make use of the phone for 24 hours after a full charge.
Pricing and Availability
We expect a formal launching of the Oppo Realme 2 Pro on September 27th, 2018 but that date is unofficial. It should start selling for Rs 12,990. This price is for the 64GB variant, however. There are other indications that another variant, probably the 128GB will sell for as high as Rs 14,990.
