Xiaomi has just announced a brand new TV with a moniker, Redmi MAX TV 86. The Max TV features a large display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision/Atmos, and many other exciting features.

Redmi MAX TV 86” Specifications and Features
The Smart TV Max is the second television model in the Max series and it offers an 86-inch LED-backlit LCD panel with an impressive resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels capable of 4K content and a 120Hz refresh rate.
As you can see, this is a big upgrade because the last year’s model does not come with any refresh rate but comes with MEMC which is also present on this new one. There are also some additional features on the display such as 10-bit color, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, and covers 92% of the DCI-P3 color gamut that promise with color accuracy of E ≦2.
Buyers will also get the usual 178° viewing angle. We don’t know the chipset on the TV yet, however, it’s said to come with a quad-core CPU (ARM Cortex-A73), ARM Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, and also an inbuilt memory of 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage.
The device software is MIUI for TV 3.0 and it’s loaded with content integration with Xiao Ai voice assistant.
Network And Connectivity
The connectivity features on the Smart TV MAX include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, Infrared, 2 X USB Type-A, AV, ATV/DTMB, S/PDIF, Ethernet, and 3 x HDMI. One of the three HDMI ports is v2.1 with support for 120Hz VRR (Variable Refresh rate) and also ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode).
You can also connect Sony PS5 or Microsoft Xbox Series X to enjoy the 4K 120Hz gaming feature. What’s more, the new TV comes with 2 x 12.5 speakers to deliver a maximum sound output of 25W. These support Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD.
Redmi MAX TV 86” Pricing and Availability
The Redmi MAX TV will sell at a price of $1,239 and it will be available for purchase in China starting from March 4. In Nigeria, it will sell at a price of 495,000 Naira depending on your location in the country.
