Review – Zero Metal Pro M1

Like the Zero Metal Max which I recently reviewed, the Zero Metal Pro M1 is yet another affordable premium looking device with interesting features.

With amazing features like an average battery size and large 5.5 inch display, the Zero Metal Pro M1 stands out from a bunch of similarly “specd” smartphones. Let’s take a look at what makes this device to stand out.

Review – Zero Metal Pro M1

Design and display

The Metal Pro M1 comes in a metal body design with plastic at the front. This metal design gives the phone a premium look. Also, the device is quite slim and is easy to handle with one hand. You have the normal power and volume buttons on the right side of the device, the capacitive buttons sitting just below the screen while the selfie camera and sensors are above. The bezels on the device are not so big (they’re not so thin either) but they make the device to look bigger than it should be.

Zero Metal Pro sports a 5.5 inch IPS display making it a phablet. The display quality is pretty nice and the screen size allows for a bigger viewing experience.

Memory and storage

There’s a gig of RAM and 16gigs of internal storage with the Zero Metal Pro. You can also increase the storage capacity via the use of a microSD card to a maximum of 32GB.

Processor and OS

Under the hood of the Zero Metal Pro is a 1.2GHz quad core processor for running your tasks. The processor, in combination with the 1GB RAM should be fast enough to handle most of the applications thrown at it.

The Zero Metal Pro runs on Android v6.0 Marshmallow which comes with the ability to download millions of applications.

Cameras

The Zero Metal Pro sports two cameras – a front facing 3.2MP camera and another 8MP camera at the back. The back camera has auto focus and comes with a flashlight. You can take decent photos with the rear camera while the front camera can be used for taking selfies and for video calling functions.

Battery

To keep the Zero Metal Pro running is a 3000mAh battery. This battery capacity should be adequate for most light users and should last for one day on a single full charge. However, if you are a power user – like I am – you would need to charge the battery at least twice in a day.

Key Features Of Zero Metal Pro

  • 8MP rear Camera
  • 3.2MP front camera
  • 1.2 GHz Quad core processor
  • HD Video Recording
  • Bluetooth
  • Wifi
  • 3000mah
  • Andriod 6.0 Marshmallow

Availability and Pricing in Nigeria

Pricing for the Zero Metal Pro starts at 34,000 Naira and is available in Nigeria through online stores including Konga and Jumia.

Verdict

With a premium metal body and a large 5.5 inch display, fast processor, and a decent battery this device should be great choice for most users.
