Samsung mobile has just announced a new budget smartphone to the African market which is the Samsung Galaxy A3 Core. The phone is currently listed on Samsung African website and it comes with a small price tag.
Design And Display
The Samsung Galaxy A3 Core comes with a lightweight body design that is built with all plastic. It maintains the old body design similar to the one on Galaxy A01 Core and others. It has body dimensions of 141.7 x 67.5 x 8.6 mm and weighs 150 grams.
On the front, it has a glass screen offering a display size of 5.3 inches under PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio, and 311 PPI density with display protection.

On the camera department, the device has a single snapper of 8 MP that features an LED flash, 1080p@30fps video quality, and other features. The front camera is 5 MP with FaceID and f/2.2 aperture. The camera can also shoot the same 1080@30fps videos.
Hardware And Software
The Samsung Galaxy A3 Core has a midrange Mediatek MT6739 chipset built on a 28nm process node and a quad-core processor clocking at a speed of 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7. It has PowerVR GE8100 GPU for graphics and runs on an Android 10 operating system based on Android Go Edition.
The internal storage on the device is a 16GB and 1GB RAM which is not that bad considering the phone price tag. Well, you can still expand the memory using a micro SDcard. The Galaxy A3 Core lacks a fingerprint scanner but comes with FaceID, accelerometer, and proximity.
Battery Power And Network Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy A3 Core has a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh with support for normal charging. Despite the small battery, it can still hold power for a whole day when fully charged. The phone has dual SIM and 4G LTE network with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, FM radio, GPS, and Micro USB 2.0.
