The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) was one of the three second-generation Galaxy A smartphone series revealed by Samsung in the beginning of this month. It features a 5.2-inch FHD (1920×1080) Super AMOLED display, 1.6GHz octa-core processor but comes with 2GB RAM. The storage space is 16GB (microSD up to 128GB) and it also runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) parades an eye-catching look with its metallic body construction. It shares the same thickness with the new Galaxy A3 and A7 at 7.3 millimetres and weighs just 155 grams, so this can’t be described as light.
Like the other phones, it is both thicker and larger, perhaps, because of some upgrades which have been made. The diagonal display size has been increased to 5.2 inches. The touchscreen also now have an improved Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels for more immersive viewing experience and pixel density of about 424 for better clarity.
The refreshed smartphone comes with a camera combo of 13-megapixel rear-facing and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras, both of which have an aperture size of F1.9. In addition to the usual features, the main shooter now boasts optical image stabilisation (OIS) – a feature you’d ordinarily expect to see on high-end smartphones.
You get onboard storage of 16GB for your pictures, videos and other files. Storage capacity can be extended further by up to 128 GB using a microSD card.
The Galaxy A5 (2016) is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos processor delivering speeds of up to 1.6 GHz for smooth user experience. The CPU is married to a smaller 2 GB of RAM, compared to the 3GB on the Galaxy A7 (2016).
Like the other phone, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system will also run the show here. Juice is supplied by a more generous 2,900 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5 (2015) features a fingerprint touch scanner with Samsung Pay support. Connectivity options are – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC (UICC). Sensors on the Galaxy A3 are Accelerometer, proximity, geomagnetic, RGB Light, Hall.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) is not yet available in Nigeria. We currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria. When available, Samsung Galaxy A3 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N45,000 to N65,000 at launch.
