According to latest rumours surfacing, Samsung is already manufacturing a device that will succeed the 2017 version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 i.e Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) which was unveiled at the CES 2017 event.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) according to GSMArena will feature a bigger and better display quality than the Galaxy A5 (2017). The device will feature a 5.5 inch display with a display resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 439 ppi pixel density. The display will be a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass version 5 protection and like its predecessor, will be always-on.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) will come in various colour options and an IP68 certification which make it resistant to water and dust.
On the Galaxy A5 (2018), Samsung will use the Exynos 7880 system on chip (SoC) and an Octa-core A53 processor with a speed of 1.9 GHz. Unlike the Galaxy A5 (2017) which came with Android v6.0 Marshmallow, the A5 (2018) will come with the latest Android v8.0 Oreo O.S.
The device will also come with massive 4 GB of RAM for sleek multitasking and 32 GB of built-in storage space. There is a dedicated SD card slot at the side where you can insert a memory card and expand up to 256 GB. Moving on to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) will feature the same 26 MP camera on the front and back like the A5 (2017). However, the image quality of the A5 (2018) is expected to be better than that of 2017. Going back to take a look at the above image, you would notice that the home button which is also the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back to create more space for the screen.
The battery capacity has also been beefed up to 3,300 mAh. The Quick charge feature accompanies the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) for shorter charging time and longer standby and usage time.
