The Sharp B10 has been introduced by the company in Germany, the device was spotted in one of Sharp’s physical store. The device is available for sale immediately, with the first few buyers getting a free 24-inch Sharp TV.
The B10 is a mid-range smartphone for Europeans and will be available globally as well. The new smartphone comes with the trending 18:9 aspect ratio screen and dual rear camera. There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage space as well. Lets meet the B10.
Design
The B10 exudes a rear combination of Metal and Plastic, in a more practical term, it has a Plastic body and a Metal frame. There’s also dual antenna lines which adds to the beauty of the device, there’s one on top and another at the bottom corner.
The dual cameras are horizontal at the top left corner on top of the antenna line, while the LED flash sits right beside it. The fingerprint scanner is at its usual position as well. It measures 8.8mm in thickness and weighs 175g overall.
Display
Sharp kept it simple with the screen though, it comes with the standard 18:9 aspect screen. This will let you enjoy movies and games in full view display. The usual features are also visible at the top bezel.
The 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen should bring out one of the best visuals for a mid-range. It boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density. It stretches up to 76.72% screen-to-body ratio with a 2.5D Curved Glass.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here, is the MediaTek MT6750T chip which was manufactured on an older 28nm process node. The 8-cores of processor comes with Cortex-A53 architecture clocking at 1.5GHz max. While the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-Cores and clocks at 650MHz.
Multitask easily with the 3GB of RAM space available, this has a memory speed of 833MHz as well. In the storage department, you get the standard 32GB space to accommodate your files and apps, there’s an option to expand up to 128GB using a memory card. The B10 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
Camera
The dual 13MP + 5MP cameras at the rear should take care of all your photography needs. They both have f/2.0 aperture which lets enough light in for sharp images. The 8MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture as well as a front LED flash.
Battery
Powering the Sharp B10 is a 3840mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
