If you are a Sony fan, you must be following the latest news from the Japanese phone manufacturer. Not quite long, they debut quite an amazing smartphones. The Sony Xperia 10 and 10 Plus are upper Mid-range smartphones while the Sony Xperia 1 is the flagship of them all parading a taller screen size of the 6.5-inch display that offers an aspect ratio of 21:9.

The rumors flying around is suggesting that the company will be introducing another flagship phone which will be the successor of the Sony Xperia 1. The Sony Xperia 2 is said to be coming with a capable processor and impressive cameras set-up. Below is what we know about the phone for now.

On the body, the Sony Xperia 2 will come in a classic premium body design. The phone will also offer a taller screen size of 6.2-inch CinemaWide display that will offer an aspect ratio of 21:9 along with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1234 pixels. On the overall, the handset will measure 161 x 70 x 8.1mm in dimensions and it will be shipped in amazing colors variant as well.

Underneath will be a Snapdragon 855 chipset that will be receiving constant support from 6GB of RAM which will enable smooth performance. It will have a nonremovable battery capacity of 3000 mAh that will feature both fast and wireless charging technology. It may not come with 3.5mm audio jack though. On the camera department, the Xperia 2 will feature triple rear cameras set-up. One could be ToF (Time of Flight) sensor, while the front camera will be paired with FaceID.

Sony Xperia 2 Price And Release Date

The Sony Xperia 2 will be announced on IFA tech trade show event which is scheduled to take place in September this year. The phone will be priced around $799 which is lower than the Sony Xperia 1 that carries a $999 price tag in the US. The reason is that the Xperia 2 might be coming with an inferior display resolution and smaller screen. The camera too might not be that bright and space and the battery will be lower as well.
