Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Premium and XZ1 Compact are all getting a slice of the Pie on October 28

If you own any of aforementioned older Sony flagship devices then you should prepare your device for the Android 9.0 Pie which is coming in less than 10 days. As at now, it’s unclear which device out of the trio will get it first but we know that they all getting it. Two out of the latest series of Sony flagship; Sony Xperia XZ2 and X2 Compact have gotten Android 9.0 pie which leaves just the Sony Xperia XZ premium.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium will also get Android 9.0 Pie but users of this device will have to wait a little bit longer, 20 days longer to be exact which is 10 days after the older flagships have gotten theirs. Once the update for this year’s and last year’s flagship have rolled out to respective devices, other devices can now start expecting their Android 9.0 Pie update.

According to Sony, Users of the Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia XA2 Plus will start receiving Android 9.0 Next year, March 4, 2019 to be exact. We will keep you updated when other Sony Smartphones get a slice of the Pie.
