Starting Windows 10 in safe mode will allow you to find the root of the problem you might have with your operating system. In this article, we tell you how to access the operating system in a secure mode.
Sometimes our computer can give us problems or errors, in this case, it is necessary to exclude the possible causes, excluding them one by one until the root of the problem… but sometimes this task ends up becoming something quite complicated. In Windows 10, safe mode can help you solve any problem in minutes.
The first thing we usually do when we have a problem with Windows is to do a search on Google, hoping to find other users who have had problems similar to ours. In these situations, many times you find yourself having to follow certain steps, and among these, you may find yourself in front of that of accessing the safe mode of Windows 10 (or even known simply as a secure mode).
The Windows 10 safe mode is a type of booting of the Windows operating system that has been incorporated into the different versions of this Microsoft platform for many years. Once activated, this mode will work with a minimum set of devices and drivers, disabling everything that is not essential.
What is it so useful for? Because in the vast majority of cases, it allows you to start the system without loading the error that is causing problems. It is particularly interesting in cases where malware is present on your computer since it allows you to isolate it so that it does not interfere with system startup.

To start Windows 10 in safe mode, or Safe mode, just type in the search bar Cortana (you can access it by pressing the Windows key + Q) the term msconfig. We can also use the execution window, which we can easily access thanks to the Windows + R key combination.
Regardless of the way we use it, after writing the term and pressing Enter or accepted, we will have to go to the startup tab in the new window that will appear. Here, at the bottom, we will see a section where different options and boot modes are offered for the operating system we have selected in the list.
To start Windows 10 in safe mode, simply select the fail-safe startup box and choose one of the four available modes. The most common option in most cases is the first, Windows will restart with basic services and drivers and without an Internet connection.
The option will load the Windows system without a graphical interface, so we will only have access to a command interface. Restore Active Directory is similar to the first option but is aimed at corporate computer networks, including Active Directory services.
Finally, R ete is the fourth option, practically the same as the first, unlike the one with which we will enable the Internet connection. After choosing the mode in which you want to boot, typically the first one, click Apply and restart the computer.
Once we have finished running our checks with Windows safe mode, to exit we will have to reopen the System Configuration window (msconfig) and deselect the fail-safe start-up box that we had previously activated.
