For many months there was the talk of a new console of Nintendo that would have to compete with PS4 and Xbox One, which until a few hours ago was known as NX, will instead be called Switch and will be released simultaneously in March 2017.
Nintendo Switch- A little ‘tablet, a little’ console
But let’s go into the details of what the video shows- the main body of the new Nintendo Switch console looks very much like a tablet in which two side controllers called Joy-Con can be applied.
These two controllers can be removed and used to play in the company, using the split-screen on the tablet itself. Nintendo Switch can be placed in a dock to connect to a TV screen to fully enjoy the games.
An alternative controller, called the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, will also be available for extended sessions. The mini-controllers are also equipped with an insert for storing them when we use the console body via the dock.
The versatility is among the main strengths of the console, as confirmed by Reggie Fils-Aime (President and COO of Nintendo of America) during the presentation.
“Nintendo Switch gives users the freedom to play the way they want and gives developers new possibilities to realize their creative visions, opening the door to a limitless gaming concept “
Regarding the price of Nintendo Switch we talk about two different commercialization- the base for sale at 299 euros and the bundle version with 4 titles at 399 euros.
