Symphony i100 launched with 16GB Storage – Review, Full Specs and Price

The Symphony i100 is now available for sale on shopping stores, the device was released yesterday with midrange specs. Made for those on a budget and looks more than stunning to say the least.

The i100 is the latest installment to their “i” series, which consist of mostly budget smartphones. Their “i” phones are affordable and offers great value for money at the same time. Want to see what the Symphony i100 have to offer? Stay with me.

Design

Symphony i100

A collaboration of Plastic meets Metal, the Symphony i100 is beautiful and stunning. I think the Blue color does more justice to its metal frame. It reflects light beautifully when you are out and about on a sunny day. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint scanner on the device just like the i70.

Only the rear camera, dual-LED flash, i100 engraving and Symphony logo are spotted at the back. Moving to the sides, the 3.5mm jack and USB charging port are at the bottom corner. It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs 141g. The device is available in only Blue and Gray colors, but the Blue color tends to stand out.

Display

Symphony i100

It’s not bezel-less, well not quite. It could bearely reach the 70% bezel-less mark, stopping at just 69.56% screen to body ratio. The screen could have been expanded if the company wanted to, it has no navigation buttons at the bottom bezel.

The 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. The details on the screen should come out just like every other screen on a midrange smartphone. The screen has up to 282 pixel per inch density for clear visuals.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737 chipset with Quad-core processor clocking at 1.2 GHz. It has a 64-bit CPU architecture, 28nm process technology and ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor. The graphics processor on the Symphony i100 boasts of 2-Cores and clocks at 550MHz.

Store all files and games in the 16GB storage space available, you can also upgrade up to 32GB if you want. For smooth multitasking, the 2GB RAM space comes with a memory speed of 640MHz. The i100 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.

Camera

Explore your photography skills using the 13MP rear camera from Samsung. The camera has f/2.2 aperture and dual-LED flash to capture photographs with 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension. Other features on the camera includes touch focus, autofocus, continuous shooting, digital image stabilization, digital zoom, dual camera, exposure compensation and others. The 8MP selfie camera comes with a LED flash as well for clear video calls and selfies at night.

Battery

Powering the Symphony i100 up is 2500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology support. Typically, charging up the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
