Symphony i18 Specs Review, Spreadtrum Chipset, Android Pie, Dual Camera

Symphony, the smartphone manufacturing company is well known for releasing low-budget phones at reasonable prices and quality. The same can be said about the Symphony i18 which is moderate in all ramifications. This smartphone just arrived in the month of June 2019 and is seen as arriving in the smartphone market after Symphony Z15. Let us check out the good and the bad of the mobile device as we explore its full technical details.

Symphony i18 Design and Display

Symphony i18 comes as a bar shaped mobile phone of plastic body design. This phone, having dimensions of 71.3 x 146.8 x 9 mm, weighs 171 grams and this includes the battery weight. It is not a water resistant smartphone but as usual, comes with display protection.

The display type is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen glass. The size is 5.42 inches which is not a bad idea as teenagers would love this size. Interestingly, the resolution is the common 720 x 1440 pixels. Furthermore, there are 16 million colors. Pixel density is 295 ppi. So we say that the display of this smartphone is moderate enough.

Camera Features

There are only two cameras on the Symphony i18. The one at the rear is 8 MP and it is able to produce images in 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution, while the video resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels. Flash capacity is dual LED and there also other good features like the auto focus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, face detection, geotagging, HDR, panorama and more. The front camera for selfies is 5 MP and it also has its good features

Hardware and Software

The chipset inside the Symphony i18 is Spreadtrum SC7731E, having process technology of 28nm, while the CPU is ARM Cortex A55 with 64-bit architecture. The GPU meant for graphics is PowerVR GE8322. This Symphony mobile device is Android 9.0 Pie powered mobile device.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

The space for storage in Symphony i18 is very much at par with the pricing. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and this is also accompanied by internal storage of 32GB. However, there is additional external storage space available for those who still want more space. The user can mount a microSD card in order to do this. Sensors in this device are proximity, light, accelerometer, and fingerprint.

Network and Connectivity

This Symphony i18 is a 4G Android phone devoid of NFC technology.  It makes use of nano SIMs and there are two of them which means that there are 2G, 3G, and 4G internet. They both work on GSM, HSPA, and LTE networks and have the ability to power hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, headphone jack, FM radio and the likes.

Battery Power

Powering the Symphony i18 is a non-removable not too impressive Li-Po 2900 mAh battery. This mobile device has no wireless charging and no fast charging technology inside this new Symphony smartphone. The smartphone has been designed to last for a reasonable time as the user makes use of it without charging.

Price and Availability

Symphony i18 smartphone official price is approximately $70.  But hey, we can’t guarantee that you will find it exactly that price should you need to buy it. As for availability, it has already been released in June 2019 and by now is already in smartphone shops worldwide.
