The Infinix Mobility silently launched Infinix Smart 2 phone, while the TAMBO launched the TAMBO TA 50 smartphone. Both use the latest Android 8.1 Go Edition and they pack 1GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Infinix Smart 2 also has a variant with a fingerprint on the back just like the TAMBO TA 50 smartphone. In this article, we will be comparing the TAMBO TA 50 with the budget Infinix Smart 2 smartphone.

TAMBO TA 50 VS Infinix Smart 2 – Design

The TAMBO TA 50 features a polycarbonate material on the overall body while the Infinix Smart 2 is built with plastic. On the body, the TAMBO TA 50 is blessed with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, speaker, camera along with an LED flash while the TAMBO logo us sitting on the bottom panel. The phone measures 9.15mm in thickness and are available in two beautiful colors.

Despite the fact that the Infinix Smart 2 is built with plastic, it still parades a beautiful body design that features a smooth back and a fingerprint scanner as well. Though there is a variant without a fingerprint scanner, the smartphone is looking good both on the front and back. Just like its rival, the back features a single rear camera with a loudspeaker at the bottom corner for quality sounds. The phone measures 8.4mm in thickness and it’s available in multiple colors that include Black, Rose Gold, Blue, and Red colors.

Both the TAMBO TA 50 and the Infinix Smart 2 boast an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The TAMBO TA has a 5.0-inch under HD IPS display panel with 640 x 1280 pixels in resolution and 268 ppi density. The Infinix Smart 2, on the other hand, has a bigger screen size of 5.5 inches HD+ TFT capacitive touchscreen which boasts a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density perfect for gaming and movies. The screen will also offer clear visuals and detail content when viewing. On the display, the Infinix Smart 2 is winning not just because of the large screen size, but the small bezels on the front and the high screen resolution as well.

The TAMBO TA 50 has a single rear camera of 8MP, while the Infinix Smart 2 has a single rear camera of 13MP. They both come with an LED flash and other internal features to beautify the camera. On the front, they have the same front facing camera of 8MP. The Infinix Smart 2 features a dedicated dual-tone flash and supports Face ID, while the TAMBO TA 50 only feature LED flash on the front.

You will get PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor clocks at 570MHz on the Smart 2, while the TAMBO TA 50 has an ARM Mali-400 MP2 for graphics. They are both powered by Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition with an internal memory of 16GB which is expandable with micro SD card.

The TAMBO TA 50 has a massive battery capacity of 4000 mAh, while the Infinix Smart 2 has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3050 mAh. They both have a micro USB cable which you can use to refill the battery. On the price, the Infinix Smart 2 and the TAMBO TA fall under $100.

Our Verdict:

The TAMBO TA 50 only has an edge on the battery capacity, apart from this, the Infinix Smart 2 is leading in all the categories. The smartphone looks nice and it’s more admirable than it’s rival. With the Face ID and the 4G LTE network connectivity, the Infinix Smart 2 has the final point.
