We all love music and movies. We watch these on a variety of platforms nowadays but most people still feel very comfortable when they play music or watch a movie on their flat smartphones. You never know where you may find yourself, hence hoping that your smartphone is able to deliver quality performance in these two areas is important.

For one thing, most of us don’t pay much attention to how good the sound of a smartphone is when we want to purchase – we often put ahead of sound features such as camera, battery and performance – these are in themselves very important but it took me a brief listening to an audio sound from a friend’s phone to know that I need an upgrade in the way my phone delivers sounds. Probably, I could make it better by purchasing a headphone or earphone that comes with great sounds but for me, the best is to have a phone that actually produces the best sounds when playing music or watching films.

So, this leads me to introduce to you the following five smartphones best for playing music and watching films.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus

    Verge

These two look alike and the S9 plus is just an upgrade of the S9. Samsung partnered AKG to bring about a smartphone with one of the best sounds you can listen to on earth, coming from a smartphone. This phone has a driver to the rear and the earpiece speaker is able to avoid the poor effect of a single driver. In fact, with this phone, you can tune out loud in only a few occasions as the topmost loud tuning will not be needed in most of your day to day activities. Although these two phones don’t have a turbo-charged Quad DAX, it is more than a match for demanding audiophile headphones. Do you want to know about the full technical specification of this phone? This is the second smartphone on the list. Yes, with this phone you can achieve a lot more if you make use of headphones or earphones in a way to block out unwanted sounds from the surroundings where you are. The phone has 32-bit DAC because through it, the user gets 32-bit ESS Sabre ES9218P DAC sound. So, if the user makes use of headphones or earphones, the sounds going into it is already high quality. In this way, it is easy to remove discordant sounds and signal and it is also possible to increase the dynamic range of the sound. Razer

    Razer Phone

People love Razer because now we have so many people who play games every day on their mobile phones and since Razer is a smartphone, it is one of choice for many people. The drivers for sounds in the Razer phone are larger than the average you can find in many smartphones so you can be sure that you are getting one of the best of sounds anyone can get from a smartphone.

The manufacturers of Razer partnered with Dolby Atmos who are already known for great sounds to create the sound drivers in the phone. When you raise the sound to the highest, you will notice that it goes a little sharp and could be uncomfortable for use in some instances. This phone has no headphone jack. iPhone X

Now this one has been called by many people to be the best sounding phone out there. I can’t say I agree or disagree with that but I do agree that the iPhone X is actually a very good music and movie phone. This phone also is without the headphone jack but it gives the user and those who may be listening to music from it from a distance a good feeling. You probably may not know that the sound is coming from a phone!

Here’s how sound works in the iPhone X. it has a Lightning connection which means that the DAC is restricted to wireless/Lightning headphones because the phone will not take a headphone jack. According to many reviews found online, this is the best sounding smartphone available for sale. Learn more about the phone here.

    ZTE Axon 7 Mini

It is the cheapest on this list yet it works magic at the sound arena. It comes with decent base and great bass. Some think that this phone is small but the compact phone is reinforced at the speaker side with pseudo-3D stereo sound which is made possible at both ends of the spectrum. Further, the sound is enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology. This is able to give off great sounds with ease and less penchant for distortions that normally are a part of mid-range smartphone sounds. The AKM 4962 chip inside it combines the two audio processes to create very nice, well rounded robust beefy sounds. Test and see how it matches up with your Bluetooth speaker. 1. I’ll expect Samsung to top the list because of the quality of materials used in building the smartphone.
Most of these phone providers have to cut quality to match affordability.
