3. RAM:
RAM is an acronym that stands for “Random Access Memory”. It is what determines how fast your computer will run. A standard laptop should have a minimum of 2 GB RAM and above so don’t go for laptops with less than 2GB RAM if you would like to multitask with it to avoid unconditional freezing and heating up.
4. Storage Memory:
This one is well known by everyone, and I don’t need to talk much about it. You are aware that the higher the memory, the higher the number of things it can store and vice versa. For me, I don’t settle for any laptop with less than 500GB HDD storage, i.e., hard disk, so that’s advice for you.
5. Display Size:
The screen size should be at least 15 inches wide diagonally. Because looking at the small screen for long hours can affect your eyesight and cause strain to the eyes.
6. The Battery:
You will have to consider how far the battery can last when buying a laptop most especially in this part of the world where electricity supply is not steady. A laptop that can last up to 4-6 hours on a single charge is a good buy for me.
7. Number of USB Ports:
Shortage of USB ports on a laptop can cause you extra money in the purchase of a USB extension to connect more devices. So make sure you get a laptop with at least 3 to 4 USB ports.
8. SD Card Support:
It is nice having a laptop with built-in SD card reader. You don’t have to connect your camera through a data cable. So keep an eye on it.
9. Bluetooth & Wi-Fi:
The last but not the least is the wireless capabilities which are important too. Although Bluetooth technology on laptops is already fading off; laptops manufacturers are no longer considering this on new laptops. It is still useful, though. Another is Wi-Fi, and this is a must for any laptop manufacturers because everyone now needs to connect to the internet or transfer files or documents to another user.
