Twitter Voice – How To Post Audio Files On Twitter

As you already know, Twitter has been a very popular social media platform for several years now, and its number of users keeps multiplying every second. However, apart from allowing owners of Twitter accounts to share pictures and clips, the platform clearly has to do more to sustain its popularity.

Knowing the importance of developing the platform and appealing more to its users, Twitter recently stunned everyone by launching Twitter Voice; a feature meant to start conversations on the site, thereby aiding more content and giving account owners something new to be a part of.

Twitter Voice launched before Twitter Fleets and Twitter Spaces, and the features it comes with will definitely give daily content on Twitter a clearer meaning, as users are now allowed to voice their feelings and reaction instead of just typing it out.

Be aware that the new Twitter Voice is not here to compete with the identical features on rival social media platforms; it is simply meant to help users record their voice and share recording the same way a tweet is shared. The only difference is that we’ll now be able to hear everyone’s emotion, rather than just seeing what they say. Therefore, for those who are always scared that their messages could be misinterpreted, you can breathe easy now.

For those who don’t know, Twitter Voice was not the only feature Jack Dorsey launched recently; however, it is the most notable one as it lets users tweet audio or voice content that is 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. You’ll agree that this is an amazing tool for when you think about something cool you need to share while talking. Want to join the fun right away? See How To Post Audio Files On Twitter:

Post A Twitter Voice:

Like I wrote earlier, sharing a Twitter voice message is just like tweeting. Adhere to these instructions to see exactly what I mean by that:

  • Launch your Twitter application.
  • On the Timeline tab, click “Compose New Tweet.”
  • After that, click the Twitter Voice icon.
  • On the next screen, click “Record.”
  • To pause the recording, simply click “Record” one more time. When the recording is over, click “Done.”

  • Then click “Tweet” to share the audio.

If you are an iPhone or iPad owner, the audio will be played on a dock way down on display as soon as you click on a Twitter Voice tweet. You’ll even be able to add threads below the voice tweet if you have more things you wish to add.

Is Twitter Voice Available For Android And iOS?

Like every beta, Twitter Voice was first accessible to a restricted number of Twitter users when it was unveiled last year. During this period, it was clear that the feature was available to Twitter for iOS users, which attracted many positive reviews.

Weeks later, the feature was also made available to a limited Twitter for Android users, but since July 2020, it has been released to every Twitter user on the planet. And Twitter for Android users is very much allowed to use other features such as Twitter Fleets and Spaces with zero issues or complications.

It is also worth stating that even if we cannot all produce Twitter Voices and Spaces via the web version of Twitter, listening to these audio features is possible. But, Fleets are excluded, meaning it is impossible to view Fleets on the web version.

Ways Voice Tweets Can Help Your Business:

1. It Improves Brand Personality:

As you already know, brand personality is everything because your success basically boils down to how people perceive your business. Well, if you want to know if your voice tweet helps you build the right personality online, the answer is a big yes, since it is all about authenticity in the business world.

2. It Advertises Your Business:

Of course, it does. With more than 330 million active users, the platform has more than enough people to advertise your business. And if you use your voice well enough, you should know that as soon as Twitter users follow a brand on the platform, about fifty percent of them go ahead to complete a purchase.

3. It Aids Interaction With Customers:

Since most users expect companies to interact with them online, how about you customize the user experience and answer through voice tweets. This will definitely work because if you make customers feel like your company values them, they’ll refer you to your rivals.

More About Twitter Voice Tweets:

More than the normal tweets we are used to, Twitter Voice clearly adds more vibe to whatever we share. The era of texts seems to be getting boring to most internet users, and more people are embracing the idea of talking into their smartphones to get their messages across.

In fact, your voice will be visibly attached to your tweet, and it’ll stand out on Twitter since it’ll reveal your image icon alongside a pulse that indicates the presence of your voice. Even if your content goes past the limit of 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Twitter will instantly create a thread for the remaining recordings.

The extra thread means that once users tap on the first recording, they’ll also be able to play the next voice in the thread. All this and more make the new feature absolutely incredible, and its non-intrusive interface is everything to write home about.

You should also expect your audio to play in a dock player way down on the display if you tap on a Twitter Voice tweet. What this does is that it allows all users to listen to the audio and swipe through their Timeline feed seamlessly. On top of playing the Voice tweet, it is also possible to know how many users have played your audio with the play count ticker you’ll see on the screen.

Lastly, be aware that tweets with audio messages can also be forwarded through DM. This shouldn’t be shocking since we already share tweets as a direct message; however, what is unexpected is that it can be shared as Fleets as well. Note that it won’t play immediately when shared as Fleet, but if you tap it, you’ll be led straight to the tweet to play the audio.

There you go. If you are ever interested in posting audio files on Twitter, you now know what to do and how to good about it.
